About The Game Dark Deception is a story driven first-person horror action maze game, created from a collaborative indie effort between DD’s original creator and the creator of TJOC: Story Mode.  Dark Deception mixes the fast-paced style of classic arcade games with fun horror game design. Trapped in a dark world full of nightmarish mazes and ridiculous monsters, the only way out is to face the darkness and find a way to survive.  This is the first chapter in the Dark Deception story. Investigate and survive the first maze. Be careful though. You are not alone. There are monsters in there and they are looking for you. You will face your fears.   Mama Bear is a tall, stuffed, barley-white bear, possibly resembling a spirit bear, and has a somewhat suit-like appearance despite being inspired by a plush. Her body appears to be sewn together, with a large tear in her abdomen revealing dark pink, intestine-like cotton. Mama Bear also has spherical eyes with small pupils, a wide, blank, smile on her face, and what appears to be blood around her mouth, resembling lipstick. Mama Bear also has stitches of four threads going down her forehead to her back, and her torso, similar to the   Trigger Teddies . She wears gloves on her hands, a pink tutu, and a small, pink bow on top of her head. Her gloves have three claws at the ends of her fingers, but not on the thumbs.  Her nightmare mode in Zone 3 has pale pink fur, red eyes, a black tutu and bow, and dark stitches, along with the inside of her ears. Like the Clown Gremlins, she changes back to her normal mode. Mama Bear also has a far larger and more terrifying form known...

  Reaper Nurse   returns as a playable monster in   Dark Deception: Monsters & Mortals . As a Monster of the  Speed  Class, Reaper Nurse is efficient at collecting soul shards in Shard Mayhem, pursuing mortals in Maze Escape, having little to no attack cooldown, and being tied as the fastest character speed in the game, but she has the least amount of health of all other monsters, and does low damage. Reaper Nurse can easily outrun and kill mortals, due to their differences in health and damage. Her attacks are also quicker and more agile, compensating for her low damage output. This makes her great for running and and attacking quickly but, poor in combat against  Power  Mortals and other Monsters. She attacks by using her giant syringe to either hit someone (light attack) or impale someone (heavy attack) for damage. Her Ultimate Ability,  " Vaccination Time" when activated, the Reaper Nurse begins to go invisible for at least 20 seconds...

  Dark Deception The first part of the Hotel features a desk and two cutouts of friendly versions of the Murder Monkeys. A sign near the desk says " Welcome Breakfast & Murder Free everyday until 10:00 AM " Nearby is a hallway with multiple elevators, with one straight ahead having a Murder Monkey inside facing away from the door. Around the Hotel are pictures of the Murder Monkeys. In the maze, the ring altar is in the heart of the maze, where the player starts. Words written on the wall say " Break the Boards ". Around the maze are multiple doors that can't be opened with the exception of two. The hotel also includes a kitchen. Occasionally, Murder Monkeys are seen to partially open doors and stare at the player.

  Monsters & Mortals. The multiplayer variation of the map removes the ring barrier room, kitchen and secret rooms, but still retains most of the original layout the map is a shrunken version of the original game's layout. The map features  banana peels  as traps to stun players who walk into them and the  Chef Monkeys  as bosses to chase after players.

  Trivia The desk at the lobby has a bell on it, which rings when you press it. Press it ten times and a cutout of a monkey will pop up. You will also earn the achievement "Service, Please!" In the 2014 demo, the hotel's lobby was absent. The  banana peels  are completely original to  Monsters & Mortals , as the original level lacked any traps. Near one of the secret rooms in the hotel, there's an easter egg which is a graffiti on the wall that says 'EVANS WAS HERE'. If interacted with, it will start playing the old 2014 theme 'Into Madness'.
